- Story: Took martial arts when I was a kid and haven't practiced in years. I only took one formal class ever, Tae Kwon Do on a one lesson free pass. Started taking 'lessons' from a Guy named Tom in NY when I was like 5, with my Brothers; enough to make me interested. Started learning a little from Dad's friend Carl for a few years when I was about 9. Then started to practice on a much more intense level with a neighbor, Derek, who took several styles in his life. In all this time, At the age of 16 I ripped a hamstring muscle and never fully recovered my limberness...got discouraged; and did alot of partying at that time. I was never the baddest SOB on the block, butr for a little 5'6" guy I felt I was safe with me.
